MIRI: Miri Polyclinic will try out a new queue management system to improve operations and eliminate the problem of ‘missing’ numbers among patients.
Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting said a trial run will begin on May 15 for the Miri polyclinic new queue management system.
He said with the new system, there are 10 boxes with five different categories placed in the clinic.
“Patients will have to drop their medical card into the box and wait for their name to be called to get a number as during the present system, the patients are given two separate numbers – once on arrival and another upon registration,” he said as quoted by SUPPNews.
Ting who visited the polyclinic called to the members of the public to be patient and to queue up properly as in the old system, some took away more than one numbers.
SUPP Piasau has also donated three television at the polyclinic to allow those who wait to have something to watch. –Sarawakvoice
