PADAWAN: A total of 58 individuals were selected to attend the Class E Licence driving class, fully sponsored by Puncak Borneo Parliamentary Service Centre at a cost of RM69,600.
Federal Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Willie Mongin had on Sunday (April 10) briefed them at the centre in Jalan Puncak Borneo here.
In the briefing, Willie, who is also Puncak Borneo MP, called on all recipients of the Second Chance Programme to continue to strive in life.
This was Willie’s own programme aimed to help the underprivileged to get a new lease on life.
It was launched last April but was postponed due to the movement control order, and driving schools were also closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also present at the briefing were representatives from Sekolah Memandu MKM and Konsortium Memandu Kota Samarahan Sdn Bhd.
They were also given the opportunity to present a briefing on the documents that the participants needed to attend the course.
