“Today we have successfully distributed food aid to 20 longhouses from the Urun zone and Tegulang zone consisting of 525 households.
“The BKSS food supply aid distribution station for PDM Murum this time is at Kantin Aloi, Simpang Murum,” he said in a Facebook post today (June 9).
Chukpai said the distribution of the food supply aid under BKSS for Murum has entered its fifth day on Tuesday (June 8).
“On this occasion, I would like to record my highest appreciation and many thanks for the excellent cooperation and coordination from the Kapit/Belaga Division Disaster Management Committee and PDM Asap food aid distribution sub-committee.
“This is as well as members of Rela, Police and all strategic partners, who are involved in helping us succeed in the BKSS food aid distribution.
“I would also like to thank Kantin Aloi, Simpang Murum for generously allowing us to use their premises as a distribution station for PDM Murum,” he said.
At the same time, the assemblyman hoped that the rest of the distribution will go on smoothly as planned to help those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I would also like to remind us to always adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set at all times to prevent and break the chain of Covid-19 transmission in our community,” he said.
