Rural youth to benefit from broadband network

KUCHING: An allocation of RM200 million from the state government for Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) to set up 150 sites for rural broadband network across the state will benefit the youth in Sarawak.

Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said this proves that the state government listens to the demands and aspirations of Sarawakian youth for better internet connectivity.

“Improvements on internet access throughout Sarawak have been requested by the youth in dialogue and townhall sessions, which were attended by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and the state Youth Minister.
