MUKAH: A total of 1,404 recipients of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) in this district are set to receive cash payment beginning February 24 to 27 at Mukah Civic Centre.
A notice from the Mukah District Office said the list of recipients includes those who do not have a bank account, new registrations as well as providing information update services for the Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) for recipients in rural Sarawak.
The schedule is displayed on the notice board of the Mukah District Office building where the list of names that have been divided into eight phases and the list can be checked at Menara Pehin Setia Raja during office hours.
The government has announced BPN 2.0 specifically for eligible B40 and M40 groups.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the distribution of BPN 2.0 began on October 12, last year and the second payment is on January 21.
Payment will be given in stages and the B40 group who are married will be given priority.
Total payment is by category, namely B40 (RM1,000), B40 single (RM500), M40 (RM600) and M40 single RM300.
