KUCHING:Stringent measures taken by the state government to curb the spread of Covid-19 are done in the interest of the people.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said with positive imported cases detected from patients testing negative previously before arriving from Malaya, Sarawak’s measures needed to be stricter.

“We have our own ways and in cases where patients arriving from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) who tested negative there (at KLIA) but tested positive for Covid-19 here, it is because our policies are strict.
