SHANGHAI: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan yesterday lead the state delegation to one of the top global producers in the solar industry.
During the visit, Awang Tengah and the delegation were briefed on the plant production, which adopts latest technologies in producing high standard solar products. The company also has their operation worldwide namely China, Malaysia, USA and Portugal.
Awang Tengah was impressed with the factory operations and its R&D facility, and added such visit is crucial for Sarawak to better understand the solar industry and attract more solar players to the State as we too have a vibrant solar industry in Sarawak.
Awang Tengah took the opportunity to share with the company the business and investment opportunities in Sarawak for the company to consider for their operational expansion outside the China.
Awang Tengah stressed on the availability of abundant natural resources, state’s business friendly policies and attractive incentives offered by both Federal and State Government.
ALso present during the visit was two assistant ministers YB Datuk Mohd Naroden Haji Majais and YB Datuk Malcolm Mussem Lamoh, Permanent Secretary of MINTRED Datu Liaw Soon Eng, CEO of RECODA Datu Ismawi Ismuni, Director of MIDA Shanghai Steven Cheng, and senior officials from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak.
