POIPET,CAMBODIA: The Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Sri Fatimah Abdullah with her two delegatesfrom Sarawak went to see the house in Poipet near here this afternoon to see the house where the 47 Malaysian were arrested for suspicion in the involvement of illegal online gambling.
On their way there, they are being escorted by the Malaysian Embassy in Cambodia, and police outriders.
It takes nearly three hours drive to Poipet from Siem Reap.
Immediately after the delegates arrived in Siem Reap from Kuala Lumpur, they had a quick breakfast in Siem Reap then head to Poipet.
Together with Datuk Sri Fatimah is also Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and Sarawak Foreign Affairs director Deddy Faisal Ahmad.
Poipet is a city in Banteay Meanchey Province in Cambodia. The city is near to the border of Cambodia-Thailand.
The city is known for its many casino, where some are legally operated.
It is learnt that the house which was suspected for operating illegal online gambling, is a small cottage house.
